In a strange turn of events, one of the biggest carriers across the U.S. Will reportedly not pick up the new Google Nexus 5 mobile. The Nexus 5 was suppose to be one of the best mid-ranged phones money can buy. After being released for only a matter of hours, the 16Gb version is completely sold out of the Play store.
Although Verizon Wireless won’t be getting the new handset, their main competitors in Sprint apparently will.
Why the breakdown happened between Android and Verizon is not yet known, but the Android chief Sundar Pichai has stated that he plans to be involved in talks so that a similar thing doesn’t happen again in 2014.
Verizon fans who want to pick this one up will have to look elsewhere this year.
