This update will bring in a range of goodies from the new Extreme Power Saving Mode that we spoke about that provides much better battery performance of up to 40%. It will also improve audio quality and WiFi performance. If only we could have the latter before installing this behemoth of an update. More on that after the jump.
It is the same update that we already saw start rolling out to M8 and M7 devices for other phone carriers. Now it is T-Mobile’s turn to get in on the action.
The original HTC One M7 came with Sense 5.0 UI and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Since then it has received several updates namely Android 4.2.2, 4.3 and 4.4.2 KitKat. This new version is a new 4.4.2 KitKat with the build number of 5.14.531.1. The “All New One’ M8 came out with Sense 6.0 and in typical fashion it takes longer for the predecessor to get features. Now it will have the same UI as its newer 2014 edition. HTC developed Sense to be original and steer away from what Android does with their stock firmware. It separates them from the pack and gives them something that no other device has. For the most part, it has been a success and people do like what they see. It also has lots of customization options to toggle between it and the standard stock Kitkat.
I recommend installing this update after you get home from work or overt he weekend deepening n how fast your WiFi is. Do not attempt to install this update using the mobile data and unless you have plenty of it to spare and have good reception at the same time because it is 695 MB in size. That is nearly the equivalent of downloading a 480p movie!

We are already witnessing some resident of Oahu Hawaii are getting this update as we speak.
