If a cheap tablet is something you would consider buying soon, then you might be interested to learn that T-Mobile has just been hooked up with the galaxy Tab 3 7.0. We first got a look at this from Sprint last October when it debuted for a price of$49. 99 on contract.

Here’s what the vice president of Sprint said about the deal:

“You can’t go wrong with the incredible special offer, we developed for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 that allows customers to buy one of the best tablets available at the easily affordable price of $49.99 and add it to their account starting at only $5 per month. With a bright and colorful display and access to the Sprint 4G LTE network, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 rounds out Sprint’s robust device portfolio to make sure that we offer a tablet or Smartphone that will meet anyone’s needs. Business users will appreciate the big-time productivity features of this easily portable tablet, while consumers will appreciate its portability and versatility for communicating with friends and family, entertainment and gaming.”

Several days ago we were told of rumors that it could be coming out soon for T-mobile, who had such a great year last year, and now it is all but confirmed as on its way.

The model that came out last year — Tab 2 7.0 — also appeared later on down the track in a garnet red version. We are seeing companies use these tactics now to try to keep sales ticking over. There’s a good chance Samsung will do a similar thing here yet again after a few months go by, so if it’s a funky color your after, you might want to wait it out. The only problem with that is that there is no telling what the color might end up being.

There was also a re-branded tab 3 that was identical to this that was made especially for kids. It features an orange outer layer that was very drop friendly and inside of that part was a yellow color.

Prices aren’t confirmed yet, but in order for them to stay competitive here, we are expecting to find the off contract price of $199.99. If you didn’t guess the size already because of the name it has been given, this one will come with a 7 inch screen format. The pixels will be displayed at a resolution of 600 x 1024. It will of course be running Android Jelly Bean and not the new KitKat because of its entry-level nature. For the processing power it will come equipped with a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU.
