DESCRIPTION

The homepage showed a large dialog to start a free trial membership. Beneath the box was a movie update and the option to view all views. I obliged and clicked the link to view all the movies. It opened up to a new webpage (sexart.com/erotic-films) that showed over 60 movie thumbnails. The video thumbnails each had a movie cover picture that was professionally taken. When I hovered over a movie cover, a movie preview began to play, I clicked on a video. The watermarks were for sexart.com in the bottom left corner. The bottom right corner said that the video was in 4K definition. When I played the video, it was a minute-long preview of the full movie. Beneath the video was a button to get full site access. There was also a trailer for the full movie (Dusk Of Desire) and a movie gallery that included pictures taken from the movie itself.

Is sexart.com Safe?

Here, I analyzed sexart.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam:

I checked sexart.com on Sucuri, and it returned as a medium security risk.

Sucuri says sexart.com runs Nginx under 1.17.3, which is outdated.

Security hardening flaws:

  • Missing security header for ClickJacking Protection:
    https://www.sexart.com/ for Google’s UA
  • Missing security header to prevent Content Type sniffing:

I then ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on sexart.com, and it is suspicious.

Unmask Parasites cites 1 suspicious inline script:

var $buoop={required:{e:-4,f:-3,o:-3,s:-1,c:-3},insecure:!0,api:2020.12};function $buo_f(){var e=document.createElement("...

I also checked sexart.com on VirusTotal, and it is clean.

Further, sexart.com passed all blocklist engines on URLVoid.

In conclusion, we couldn’t grade sexart.com any higher than relatively safe because of the outdated software in the Sucuri results and the suspicious inline script found on Unmask Parasites. OVERALL GRADE: Relatively Safe.
