You can hard reset the Samsung Galaxy A20e smartphone to wipe all data and reset factory settings. Those installing custom firmware also need to hard reset and wipe the cache before they swap stock Android for a custom build.

If troubleshooting Android, you may find the operating system unusable. If so, you can always use the Recovery Mode Samsung offers to boot into the recovery partition and solve the problems from there.

Most Android smartphones come with a recovery partition separate from the Android operating system which is on its own partition. The recovery partition is there for those who cannot use the Android operating system because of its bugs at the time. You can use Recovery Mode to troubleshoot Android either with a hard reset or by flashing new firmware. As a last resort, a technician will flash new firmware in the recovery partition to get the smartphone working again.

This tutorial demonstrates how to hard reset the Samsung Galaxy A20e smartphone.

It will leave the recovery partition and boot back into the Android operating system.
