Notes:
- Before you begin rooting the HTC droid DNA, you will need to make sure you have the USB drivers. It is possible you have this already if you use the device regularly, in which case you can skip this step. This is necessary to connect the device to the computer.
- You will also need to have USB debugging mode enabled in order to complete this guide. You can follow the link that I provided and find out how to do that if you don’t know already.
Rooting Micromax Funbook Pro 10.1 & ClockworkMod
Step 1. First off, download the ClockworkMod Recovery Image
Step 2. Using your USB cable, connect your device to your PC.
Step 3. You will need to extract the file you downloaded in step 1, and then store it somewhere easy to locate such as your desktop.
Step 4. Open up ‘Recovery-Install.bat’ by double clicking on it. This will begin flashing the recovery image.
Step 5. Once the flash has finished the window will close, then you will need to copy the ‘CWM-SuperSu.zip’ and save it to your devices internal SD card. It’s important that you save it in the SD card root to make it easier to find when we need it.
Step 6. Now you can boot your device into recovery mode. To achieve this, switch off your device then hold down the ‘Power’ and ‘Menu’ buttons at the same time.
Step 7. Once in recovery you will need to select ‘Update from SD Card’ and then ‘Select from SD Card’. Then locate and select the .zip which you saved under ‘SD Card root’ in step 5.
Step 8. The installation will start automatically and should take about 10 minutes.
Step 9. One this has finished go back to recovery modes main screen and select ‘Reboot System now’.
