LG Volt is a mid range phone, with good hardware and camera. And today I will tell you a very easy way to root your phone.

Rooting is a process in which we offer system file to some special apps do they can alter them and work smoothly. To root your phone you need some tools. You need a Windows OS-based PC with internet connection to download for packages and software for rooting process. Also you need a USB cable in good condition and your phone. Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Developer Options > check USB debugging option.

Backup: It is important to take a backup of your data stored in the internal memory so if anything happens wrong then your data will be safe. You can take backup of your contacts by syncing them to your Google account and you can sync them back when you need them. You should also backup your media files like photos, videos and music to your PC or move them to your SD card. By this you can save your important files from getting deleted.

Steps to Root LG Volt

  1. First download the root package from here and put it on the desktop.
  2. Now remove your phone’s SD card and plug it to your PC using a card reader.
  3. Now transfer that root package to your SD card.
  4. Now reboot your phone to recovery mode.
  5. When in recovery insert the SD card.
  6. From recovery select “Apply update from SD card”, select that root package and confirm to flash.
  7. When the flashing is finished, come to the main menu and select “reboot system now”.

There! Your Volt phone is now loaded with root access and the internal system unlocked. You can check root access by installing any root checker app on your phone. Now you can do some customization and install apps those need root access to run.
