Step 1. First off you will need to download and save the following APK file:

GingerBreak App v 1.2

As mentioned before, this can be downloaded and saved straight to your smartphone.

Step 2. Navigate to the file explorer app you have installed and launch it. Locate the GingerBreak APK file then install it by tapping on it. Make sure that when you are installing it you are doing so to the ‘Internal Storage’ rather than the ‘External Storage’.

Step 3. Once done, navigate to the GingerBreak App and launch it.

Step 4. Click on ‘Options’ followed by ‘Root device’.

Step 5. Be patient while the rooting process occurs.

Step 6. Once completed your device will reboot. This can take anywhere from 10 – 15 minutes as the cache is being wiped.

If you want to ensure the root has been successful, simply check to see if the Superuser App is installed on your device.
