The latest updated version of Redsn0w brings the untethered jailbreak to a5-powered idevices such as the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4s. It also brings the untethered jailbreak power to older A4 type products that many users were finding issues with, including the RamDisk Freeze issue that was a real annoyance. This all, of course, comes on the iOS5.0.1 firmware.

“Updates #5b and #5c: Version b5b fixes an issue with using custom ramdisks on iPhone3G and iPod2G, and version b5c prevents redsn0w from crashing due to the ever-growing ramdisk size.
TIP: If auto-detection fails and redsn0w tells you no identifying data as wound, you can always pre-select the appropriate 5.0.1 IPSW using “Extras->Select IPSW”.”
