Android 5.0 Lollipop is the biggest OS update we’ve seen since the release of Gingerbread all those years ago. It comes with Material Design user interface, lock screen notifications support, Notifications tweaks, Battery Saving Mode, Priority Mode, dynamic status bar, Android Smart Lock, Recent multi-tasking new window, OpenGL ES 3.1, Final Android Run-time and more. You don’t get to experience all those features with the theme. However, you do get to experience some of the material design.

As you know, themes come with a lot more than just the wallpaper. They change the icons and more. However, unless you are using the Xperia device with root access, you cannot access many of the features. You will still get to use the wallpapers and the lock screen image. Furthermore, it doesn’t cause any damage to the phone or tablet.

5.0 Lollipop

According to the original poster on the XDA Developers forum, the themes works for Xperia-based devices running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and 4.4 KitKat. The themes are based on 5.0 Lollipop. We know the factory images and OTA’s are coming for the nexus range of devices for Lollipop installations as we speak. however, no other devices including any in the Japanese phone-makers range have Lollipop yet.

You know the drill: Download the zip file here for the theme of your choice here and transfer the file over to the SD card. Turn the device off by holding the power button down for ten seconds. Boot the handset up in ClockworkMod recovery. Navigate to “choose zip from SD card” and confirm the process. Go back to the main screen in recovery mode and choose “reboot system now.” Enjoy the new theme.
