There’s no shortage of finance applications for iOS, and if you try to do a Google search for this query it will be tough because it will already be filled with results with similar names. However, that doesn’t stop My Finances for iPhone from being worth a look if you want an app to help you manage your income and expenses.

The reason this is my favorite finance app is because it’s new and made to suit iOS 7. Each total has a unique background color, and it really looks great on the iPhone 5C.

If you’re anything like me, you will have a hard time keeping up with your bills. I always think I have more money left in my bank account than I actually do, and this leaves me trying to remember all the occasions I spent the money and how to justify it being gone.

A lot of the time I’m even thinking that somebody else stole it, that’s how far away my balances are from making sense. But in reality, it’s really easy to spend a lot more than you think you are. The price of living these days is sky-high, and if you don’t tally all of your purchases, they can pile up to leave a big dent in your back balance. ‘My Finances’ is a great way to stop that from happening.

With My Finances you can keep track of your spending, put in the amounts that have gone, and mathematically create equations that include your wage, minus anything you spend for each day. It keeps tabs inside of a calendar that show each day and how much that is coming off your income. Not only is it great for keeping track of your money, but it’s a great way to learn where your money is going. You can get rid of any bad habits or make smarter decisions with what you buy.

At the top of the app is two headings: Income and Expenses. This sorts out the two lots of money after you put in the details. There are categories you can create for each thing you do. The example it uses is transport. Inside the transport you have the money you spend on gas or train tickets. The next category you might have is Shopping. Now all the money you spend on shopping can go in here. This keeps going until all the categories in your life are filled. This gives you a more detailed look at where your money is going.

Download the app for free from this link. There are extra charges that apply for in-app purchase. If you spend $3.99 you can unlock all of them. Otherwise, the other option is making purchases that will equal out to cost you more in the long run.
