The International XT1032 Moto G 2013 smartphone is getting the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA update rolling out now. While many 2013 Motorola Moto G users in the United States are left waiting for Android 4.4.4 KitKat already, the folks with the International XT1032 model haven’t have the luxury of upgrading today. The upgrade totals 21 MB in size, therefore do not expect many noticeable feature apart from the revamped phone dialer. In addition to that, we know of Google security patches, bug fixes and a smoother ROM experience are all the result of upgrading the software to this version.

All users away from the US will get a system notification alerting them that a new system software is available. From there they can either choose to install it now or later. Always choose the latter option if you are away from a stable WiFi connection and using the mobile data plan. If you are stuck without WiFi you can use the mobile data since it’s only a small update. However, the WiFi network will provide a better connection since high data traffic is on the mobile network downloading the same software as you. If you did chose to install later you want to stopover at the Settings > About Device > Software Updates and begin the installation manually that way.

The new software update rolls out in periods to everyone with the device and no two people will get it at the same time. It can take days or even weeks to reach all the customers it is looking to find. Stay patient until it reaches you.

Those of you who are residing in the States will start to find the same update coming your way by the end of the week according to our sources. The aforementioned firmware marks the last dose of goodness until we start witnessing the Android 5.0 Lollipop come out. Motorola was a Google company until they sold off to Lenovo earlier in the year. Nevertheless, it is Motorola who are the makers of the Google-owned Nexus 6 that is getting the 5.0 Lollipop before anything else since the Mountain View guys always update their own good’s first. That means we expect the rest of the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E range to be looked after with priority.

Lollipop software will equip users with much more features and fun than anything we are rolling with here to wrap up the KitKat build.
