Sony is rolling out an innovative 23.0.A.2.106 software version for the Xperia Z3 Compact model. According to Xperia Blog, this was hitting Brazil. However, people from Brazil are telling us that the Z3 doesn’t exist there yet. Nevertheless, we know that it is rolling for somewhere, or the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation are reporting this wrongly. If you notice the OTA coming in for you please leave a kind comment so we can work out where in the world you are positioned. That will let us report the country and region where people can expect the firmware.
There’s nothing to report on the tablet Compact Z3 at this stage, although when one comes the other is never far behind. The smartphone variant we are mentioning here started off with Android 4.4 Kitkat after the initial announcements of the phone on the 3rd of September. We know that this build is still sitting under the Kitkat name since Lollipop is unveiled but not officially released until the nexus 6 finds it early November.
We have confirmation from Sony that all of the Z series will find the 5.0 Lollipop coming in Q1 or Q2 of 2015.
Remember to wait patiently for the over the air waves to send the signals in your direction as they roll out in phases to everyone and no two people will see the arrival at the same second. Since this is a small update we know that it won’t take weeks for it to find the notification panel. Expect this one to be there in a matter of days only. If you don’t want to wait for the notification alert to come in you can check if it’s ready from the Settings > About Device > Software Updates > Check For Updates that way.
Furthermore, if you don’t like taking risks you should backup all the markets applications and sync the phone contacts with helium for Android. Furthermore, use the internal memory to store videos, music files, pictures and all other sensitive data you don’t want to risk losing
