While the popular iOS hackers that give us these fantastic jailbreak tools bicker over social media about what is accurate and mistaken, most of us are just grateful that somebody finally released a program that we can use to jailbreak our iOS devices. Yes, no doubt, my comment just sounded very ignorant to the original developers who have a quandary with Pangu but it’s hard to argue about me saying something is better than nothing even if it does come with a few moral imperfections.
Pangu is great, but it came out in a hurry and subsequently only the Windows version was ready. It was all a part of amateur hour the way it went down, and there’s no doubt in my mind that the chief cause behind the release was purely profit. Nevertheless, the Chinese team have managed to give us a reliable untethered experience that nearly everybody has positive comments about. That is as long as you recognize to take the tick from the box before confirming the installation to stop the download of the China app store that does have malware and illegal applications. The reason it’s there is because the team wanted to benefit from their work. We know the Chinese people have been attempting to get their app store ranking next to the Cydia store ever since we saw the release of the Evasi0n tool last year during 2013.
Pangu Jailbreak 1.1.0 for Mac official changelog
- compression resources, significantly reduce program size
- Solve some of the equipment card Pangu logo infinite reboot problem
- Replace with new vulnerabilities Shuren information disclosure vulnerability
- Increased networking protection, networking tools need to use
- Improved Interface
One of the other problems with Pangu is that it started as Windows only but thankfully the time has come when the Mac version is here. It comes to use in the form of Pangu 1.1.0, and it is available for download to the same list of iOS devices that we saw the original come with from the beginning. The list comprises of all the same tools that work with the operating system. For example, nothing beneath the iPhone 4 was capable of updating to iOS 7, and even that smartphone came with feature restrictions. The list includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C or budget iPhone, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Air, iPad retina mini, iPad mini, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and the iPod touch 5 devices manufactured by Apple.
Because the developers who released, this is Asian, it didn’t come with English support. However, the new updated version 1.1.0 does support the English language now too!
I wrote the other day about an error people were getting to do with stock apps crashing. The issue stemmed from the PPSync system and the fix that we documented here involves removing it altogether because it nobody needs it anyhow. It seems the guys have taken the initiative to do that themselves this time and the PPSync is removed from this English version to eliminate that problem without you needing to follow another guide to make it later on.
We strongly suggest people backup their personal data and settings before they start with the guide on how to jailbreak iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 with Pangu. Backup the contacts, photos, videos, call logs, SMS texts, MMS text and market applications to the iCloud by cruising to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. Alternative users can backup using iTunes by navigating to Choose File > Devices > Backup from the latest version of iTunes.
Wipe data is often the result from people needing to deploy a full factory reset and wipe the device back to its primitive state before the applied jailbreak. It leaves the smartphone, tablet or iPad as if it just appeared out of the box and brand new again without your information stored. However, as long as you implement the backed beforehand, you can restore from the iCloud by navigating to iCloud Backup and selecting the restore option. Otherwise from iTunes you can navigate to Choose File > Devices > Restore from Backup.
That covers everything we can think of now. If you can think of anything extra, you would like to know please drop a remark or get it touch by using our contact form.
