I received a message on Facebook yesterday from a man who was trying to locate LG K51 custom ROMs. Today I took a look as best I could and couldn’t find anything. Admittedly, I’m not an LG user but I was quite surprised by this because I’m aware of the LG K51 and its popularity.
My guess is some custom ROMs will come in time. Perhaps next year if nothing arrives this year. And where you want to look for them is on the XDA Developers forum. If there are any on XDA today, I couldn’t see them.
What I did come across, though, was some LG K51 owners claiming that their smartphones came with custom ROMs preinstalled. This is not likely the case. There actually has been smartphones before in history that came with CyanogenMod out of the box, but the LG K51 isn’t one of them.
I contemplated not publishing this post because Google will probably hate it but I decided to publish it in case someone sees this and has more information. If you do, please leave a comment below.
