Jailbreaking iOS 6 GM tethered for Apple A4 devices using RedSn0w 0.9.13 Dev 4
- Once you have downloaded iOS 6 GM you need to use iTunes to restore your device to it.
- Launch RedSn0w, then from the main interface select ‘Extras’ then ‘Select IPSW’ . From here you need to navigate toward the iOS 6 GM firmware.
- Head back to the main screen and click on the ‘Jailbreak’ option. This will cause the program to give you a set of instructions on how to place your device in DFU mode. It’s important you follow these very closely for the procedure to be successful. Once in DFU mode it will start the Jailbreak procedure.
- Once the Jailbreak is complete, your device will reboot and be ready to go. Due to its tethered nature you will need to make sure you enter tethered boot mode each time you restart your device. Simply launch it then select ‘Extras’ then ‘Just Boot’to achieve this.
