The PwnageTool 5.1.1 allows users to Jailbreak their devices by creating custom iOS 5.1.1 firmware, and at the same time, preserve your baseband which is great news for those users dependant on UltraSn0w or Gevey SIM for their unlock.
PwnageTool 5.1.1 Supports –
If you are the proud owner of one of these following A4 devices:
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPhone Touch 3G
- iPad 1
Then you can follow this step by step guide to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered using PwnageTool 5.1.1 Unfortunately A5 devices are not supported by the PwnageTool 5.1.1 so it’s best to stick to a Redsn0w or Absinthe guide for any devices falling under this category. It’s also recommended that you use the Redsn0w or Absinthe guides if you are not an iPhone unlocker wanting to preserve baseband.
As with all tutorials, please ensure you back up your device before you begin and proceed at your own risk. ConsumingTech will not take responsibility for any damage to your device or loss of data which may occur during the guide.
The guide:

To achieve this you will need to hold down ‘Power’ + ‘Home’. After 10 seconds you can release the ‘Power’ button but keep holding down the ‘Home’ button for a further 10 seconds.
