Did something go wrong while flashing a custom file on your Samsung Galaxy S5? Is your device not responding anymore? If so, unrooting can help you solve your issue. What unrooting does is flash the stock firmware on your device, removing everything else that wasn’t put in by the original manufacturer. That way, you get the device back to the stage it was in when you bought it off the store.

Here’s how to unroot your Samsung Galaxy E5:

Files You Need

1. In case you don’t already have, install the Samsung USB Drivers on your computer. You’ll need these before you can do the following tutorial.

2. Download Odin to your computer. It’s a little tool that helps you flash Samsung phones.

3. Download the appropriate Stock ROM for your specific variant of the device from the following list:

Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy E5

1. Extract files from the archives that you have downloaded by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.

2. Launch Odin by double-clicking on its executable file.

3. When it launches, click on PDA and choose Stock ROM available on your computer.

4. The Repartition option must be unchecked in the Odin.

5. Checkmark both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.

6. Power down your device.

7. Power up your device by holding down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons at the same time.

8. Press Volume UP and you should be in download mode.

9. Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.

10. When the phone is connected, click on Start in the Odin and wait for it to flash Stock ROM on your device.

11. When the ROM is flashed, your phone will automatically reboot.

12. You’re all set.

Your Samsung Galaxy E5 is now unrooted. You’re now running the official stock firmware that has no modifications on your device. Cheers!
