Files You Need
1. In order for your computer to be able to detect your smartphone, you need to have the Samsung USB Drivers installed on your computer. If you haven’t done so yet, please do so now.
2. Download Odin 1.85 to your computer. It’ll help you flash the root file on your device.
3. Download Root Kernel to your computer. It’s the file that will help you gain root-access on your device.
4. This should only be tried on a SM-G360H device.
Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime
1. Right-click on Odin and select Extract here to extract the compressed files.
2. Double-click on Odin executable and wait for it to launch.
3. When it launches, click on PDA and choose Root Kernel available on your computer.
4. Uncheck Repartition in the Odin. It’ll cause issues if you leave it checked on.
5. Checkmark both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.
6. Turn off your device.
7. Reboot your device into download mode. To do so, hold down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons at the same time.
8. Hit Volume UP when you see a warning message on your screen. You’ll reboot into download mode.
9. Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.
10. Click on Start in the Odin and wait for it to flash Root Kernel on your device.
11. When the kernel is flashed, your phone will automatically reboot.
12. You’re all done.
Your Samsung Galaxy Core Prime should now be rooted and you can confirm the same by downloading and installing Root Checker on your device.
