We have just seen the recent over hall of Microsoft’s Hotmail and Live accounts to Outlook.com and with the rebranded email service comes a brilliant new app for allowing iPhone and iPad users to manage their accounts. All you are required to do in order to use the service is sign up to outlook.com and get your free ID, then read the guide below to learn how to set up Outlook email on iPhone & iPad.
How To Setup Outlook Email On iPhone & iPad
Step 1. Once you have created an email ID with Outlook.com grab your iPhone or iPad and head to ‘Settings’.
Step 2. Select ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendar’ which you will find if you scroll down.
Step 3. Then select ‘Add Account’.
Step 4. Choose the ‘Hotmail’ option.
Step 5. Now you will have to enter your new Outlook ID (ie. iheartkindred@outlook.com) and password.
Step 6. Then simply select the options you want to sync.
It is a relatively easy process thanks to the Apple iOS multiple email feature. But there is a way to set it up as an Exchange server also. We have the steps below.
How To Setup Outlook As Exchange Server
Step 1. Grab your iPhone or iPad and head to ‘Settings’.
Step 2. Select ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendar’ which you will find if you scroll down.
Step 3. Then select ‘Add Account’.
Step 4. Rather than selecting ‘Hotmail’ as we did previously, choose ‘Microsoft Exchange’.
Step 5. Enter your new Outlook ID (ie. iheartkindred@outlook.com) and password then Sync.
Congratulations, you have learned how to set up outlook email on iPhone & iPad. Unfortunately, the inbuilt mail feature for iPad and iPhone will not allow you to see all the fancy new features which have been put into Outlook.com. Step 1. Once you have created an email ID with Outlook.com grab your iPhone or iPad, we will need to open Safari, you can do this from your home screen.
Step 2. Type in the following URL:
Step 3. Enter your new Outlook ID (ie. iheartkindred@outlook.com) and password (Note: You can log into your Hotmail and live accounts here also).
Step 4. At the bottom of the page, you will be given the option to choose either the full site or the mobile site. If you are on your iPhone you may also be asked to upgrade your Safari browser, this is up to you so you can accept or continue on to your Outlook account.
