The Optimus Slider is a budget Android smartphone brought out by LG. It has no chance of rivaling the best of the best Android mobiles in terms of performance, however, if it is money you lack and an Android smartphone you want, then look no further. The cheap contracts associated with this phone on top of the fact that the phone itself is cheap make this phone a given for cheap thrills.

Many people still choose to avoid rooting their Android smartphones. Mainly due to inexperience and a lack of knowledge, the last thing they want to do is ruin their devices. However, when the device they have purchased is fairly cheap and curiosity gets the better of people, all of a sudden rooting a device becomes a lot more imaginable. The Lg Optimus Slider can be one of the Android devices in this category.

For this guide, you will need a Windows PC. There is currently no procedure for Macs on this method.

Before you get started you will want to download two things: The LG Optimus Slider drivers for your PC and the LG Optimus Slider root package.

Root LG Optimus Slider

Step 1. When downloading the Slider root package install it onto the desktop of your PC for easy access. You can choose to place it elsewhere, just make sure you know where to find it.

Step 2.  Once they are on your desktop, or place of choice, extract the files.

Step 3. You will now need to enable USB Debugging mode on your Android device. To do this follow this procedure: Menu>Settings>Apps>Developement>USB Debugging and then check the box to enable it.

Step 4.  Connect the Optimus Slider to the PC via the USB cable that came with the phone.

Step 5. You will be prompted to choose a connection type. here you want to choose the Charge Only option.

Step 6. Now open up the root file you extracted in step 2 and select the run.bat file. This will now provide the LG Optimus Slider root.
