These are the steps to root the ZTE Blade S7 smartphone running any firmware using the KingRoot universal one-click Android rooting tool.
There are a few different versions of the KingRoot too, so when you go to root your device, always make sure you are using the latest version. You can find the latest versions from the official KingRoot website, or by opening the official KingRoot thread that is posted over at the XDA Developers website. We will link you through to both.
Files You Need
- Download the KingRoot APK for your Blade S7 from this page.
- Try the desktop version from the official KingRoot website if the app is not working: http://kingroot.net.
- You are voiding the ZTE warranty by rooting the Blade S7 smartphone since rooting is part of what we call customizing an Android operating system. You can unroot directly from the KingRoot tool, so there is an easy way to get your warranty working again.

Rooting the ZTE Blade S7
- Download the KingRoot APK directly to your computer.
- Connect the ZTE Blade S7 smartphone to the computer where you have the APK file waiting and copy it over to the root of the internal SD card storage.
- Unplug your S7 smartphone from the computer.
- Launch a File Manager and install the KingRoot app on your S7 smartphone.
- Tap over the KingRoot icon available from your S7’s app drawer and enter the application.
- Tap on the ‘Get Root’ button you can see from the apps main page.
- Wait until it tells you that your ZTE S7 device is rooted successfully on the display and you can clearly see the progress bar has reached 100%.
- Exit the application and reboot the Blade S7 device.
- Now you are ready to start installing your root-requiring apps on the Blade S7 smartphone.
