How to Hard Reset Samsung GT-I5500
You can hard reset the Samsung GT-I5500 smartphone in two ways; one using the phone dialer and the other via Recovery Mode which is accessed with hardware buttons. Most manufacturers recommend only booting to Recovery Mode when you need to as it is more of an advanced tutorial to follow. So here is the method via the phone dialer first:
1. With the Samsung GT-I5500 turned on, enter the following code:
*2767*3855#
The Samsung GT-I5500 will reset to factory settings and wipe the data, which means it has been hard reset/factory reset. When it is complete, the Android operating system will restart and you can sign in to your Google account associated with the Android operating system. If you need to reset your password, visit Google.com on any desktop computer and go to sign in. On the sign-in page is a link to reset your password. Once the password is updated, you can enter it on the smartphone’s sign-in screen.
As mentioned, there is also a second method via Recovery Mode. Here is how to use this one:
1. With the Samsung GT-I5500 turned off, hold the Power + Home + Volume Down buttons simultaneously.
2. In Recovery Mode, select Wipe data/factory reset.
3. Select Yes — delete all user data.
4. Select Reboot system now.
As with the first method, the Android operating system will eventually restart after the hard reset has been applied and you need to sign in to your Google account again. This Google account is the same one you can sign in to via Google.com on any computer. You can go to Google.com and click the button to sign in and then click the link to update the password if you cannot sign in to your Google account on your smartphone.
In conclusion, that is how to hard reset the Samsung GT-I5500 smartphone.
