Google have been experimenting a bit recently with their options toolbar they have displayed. It could be seen changing from the standard side position to the top on occasion, and now it seems that it where it is staying and the sidebar Google search is forever gone.

Along with this, there is a bunch of new menus to choose from when searching. All of the standard categories such as web, maps, images, news are still there but if you venture into the more menu there is a whole bunch of new goodies inside which includes even a blogger tab that lets you link straight to starting up your blogger page (which Google owns) or searching for particular blogger content.

The new design allows for a more thorough, pin-point search which will be interesting to see how website traffic adjusts with the new Google changes. Or in Google’s words “the goal was to create a more “simpler, cleaner interface, and to create a “consistent search experience” across many devices and screen sizes. Google already debuted a consistent layout for tablets and mobile phones, and is now rolling it out for the desktop.”

While the update has been spread randomly in trials around the globe, the now official update that won’t be changing has only currently rolled out in the US. However, Google states that it has every intention of spreading it worldwide. The next group of countries that can expect the roll out are all English-speaking countries, followed by the non-English speaking countries eventually receiving the new Google goodness also.
