Google Play music is coming to iOS according to sources. An actual release date is yet to be confirmed, but reports are it could be with us as soon as a couple of weeks from now. This is to be taken with a grain of salt for now because the time frames in the tech world get thrown around very loosely, and with such a vague sentence, it could be well into November before we saw any release. On the other hand, there’s nothing to say that it isn’t possible to be released that quickly, so don’t assume it won’t be.
While the idea may seem strange, Google had been planning this music, teamwork since way back in May of 2013. Funnily enough, even back then they were saying the phrase “in a couple of weeks”. For several reasons, we soon came to realize that that simply would not be the case. However, now most things are finally put in place and the new service coming to the iOS devices most certainly has the potential to be ready very soon.
Sources are saying the app is officially being tested from within the Mountain View company. This is what happens typically not long before its release. It is effectively the very last stages of any process like this one.
