This latest Cydia Tweak should be handy for many of you out there. There’s no real secret what it does this time, as the title says it all. The DockHide tweak brought to you by developer PathKiller29, lets you hide and unhide the dock icons inside your iPhone.
There’s one thing to note that is different with DockHide compared to all the others that have been covered, and that is that it’s available through Modmyi this time and not the BigBoss Repo, so don’t forget when you go to check it out.
The process of hiding and unhiding these icons is nothing new to Mac OS X users, but it’s never been available to perform on the iPhone before which has left many people angry in the past.
If you’re someone who owns or has owned an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then you should be familiar with the doc. The docs great because it lets user’s pick and chooses what they want to be available as a quick launcher, and it’s one of the renowned features of a Mac or iOS product.
One thing that separates the Mac compared to an iOS device is that the Mac comes with many adjustable options — like for instance where you want the doc to be visible. Unfortunately with the iOS because of the small screen, it just comes up down the bottom, and there’s nothing users can do about it.
That’s where this jailbreak tweak comes in. With DockHide you can choose to dismiss the dock menu at will, so it doesn’t have to be sitting there at the bottom taking up your screen. To check out how it works there’s a feature video below explaining and demonstrating DockHide what I mean.
Get your DockHide from the Modmyi store here. Remember to use a Cydia Tweak you must Jailbreak your devices first!
