Dating back to 2007, the iPhone has been the biggest release out of all the smartphones. No one phone gets the world talking in the same manner. And if we go back to pre-2010 there was a stage where people of older generations only knew the smartphone as the iPhone. That is all changed now that Android and other manufacturers such as Windows Phone have come up with some great devices and taken back big percentages in the market place. Furthermore, since Steve job’s death, it seems Tim Cook’s tenure as CEO at Apple did not take the company to new heights. It’s not all his fault as we haven’t seen anything groundbreaking come from any company over the past few years. Nevertheless, when it’s Apple we expect to be wowed.

Anyhow, According to AT&T this year that is all changed. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have smashes the record books for pre-order sales. Eventually we expect those orders to turn into purchases. Last year was the first time Apple introduced two phones into their lineup. However, one of those was a budget handset. This time around they scrapped that from the plans and decided to release a bigger smartphone that is almost a phablet in the galaxy Note range of dynamics. Moreover, it comes with better screen resolution than the current flagship set to release shortly.

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

We know that the AT&T company have “hundred of thousands” of orders already flocking in for this year set of iPhones. You should know that when we say those numbers we only refer to the one US-based phone carrier and there are many that are picking up these smartphones. However, that was a claim and nothing more. No official amount from Glenn Lurie, president and CEO, is given.

We know that AT&T were taking pre-orders before the official starting time of 12.01 AM Pacific on the US clock. That could contribute slightly to the end result.

The news about the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus comes as a shock since Android enthusiasts felt they already had a lot of what Apple started offering on-board in existing phones. NFC went to the Android name a number of years ago, we are seeing Quad-HD display and we already know the green robot had the big-size displays under way ahead of all the rest. Still masses of people want what the fruit company is offering and if these order numbers are anything to go by, we might see record sales and lines in front of stores this years too.

Upon review, the iPhone 6 Plus comes with iOS 8, 5.5 inch display, 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, 401 ppi pixel density, IPS LCD technology, Scratch-resistant glass, Oleophobic coating, NFC and fast 4G mobile data support. The rear-facing shooter sports 8 megapixels and the camera on the front has 1.2 megapixels. In addition, the hardware comes with the Apple A8 system chip, 64-bit second generation processor and 128 GB internal storage space. It does lack the MicroSD card storage expansion slot where people buy additional space. However, the 128 GB worth is a huge jump up from what the Cupertino company habitually offers.
