If you are the title holder of the Sony Xperia SP, no matter where you are in the world, there is a new official firmware update which has been announced via the Sony website. This upgrade has the build number of 12.0.A.2.254 and is specially made for those in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
What does this update bring with it?
This update is fully certified by the PTCRB, which is a wireless mobile certification firm across the United States.
If you own any of the follow Xperia SP models such as the LTEC5306, LTE C5303 or the HSPA+C5302 then you can install this. For those of you who are now unsure which group you fall into, you can visit the official XperiaBlog and check it out.
This new build should begin to roll out into devices settings very soon, if not already. In a few days time the file should also become available for those of you who wish to download it manually.
For those of you who don’t already know, the SP version of the Xperia is a mid-range Smartphone otherwise known as the “Hua-Shan”. The screen will almost split the middle of what we know from other competitors and come in at 4.6 inches and 720p display. It will also have a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T processor. That’s about as good as it gets in terms of power under the hood for now. It will also be having one of our favorite things to back up to: a Micro SD card that offers 8GB of internal memory. That is plenty to cover most things you have except for a few applications if you are a heavy hitter over at the Play Store.
