The 2014 Moto X smartphone made by Motorola is under the new ownership of Lenovo this year. That hasn’t stopped the Motorola name advancing on what they made last year with the original first-generation Moto X handset. The all new 2014 edition looks even better and right now US cellular are vending the beautiful mobile for as low as $99 with a two-year contract locked in. Additionally, people can buy the phone outright for $480 — making it an appealing mid-ranger.

Carrier availability in the US for the newfangled Moto X is Verizon, AT&T and now US cellular. Before today there were only the two main phone carriers. Need I remind you that you should research what the signal strength is like in your area where you plan on using the smartphone. All three carriers have different services and signals with the US cellular variant likely the worst. However, often you find it coming to you slightly cheaper for that reason. If you know you live in a region where this carrier works great then it’s a fantastic deal for you.

Moto X 2014

No matter who you are subscribed with, the amazing specs stay the same and you all get the same handset coming your way.

To serve as a refresher, the Moto X 2014 comes with a 5.2 inch physical display, 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, 423 ppi pixel density, AMOLED technology, Scratch-resistant glass and a multi-touch touch screen.

The hardware sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC system chip, strong Quad core, 2500 MHz, Krait 400, standard Adreno 330 graphics processor, 2048 MB RAM system memory and 32 GB of internal storage space. The breaking point for many is the lack of a micro SD card for external storage. I’m surprised they didn’t include the option there for additional space as storage is such a deal breaker for many guys and girls I know. Nonetheless, we know this is a mid-ranger and they need to cut costs where they can.

The camera boasts a 13 megapixel Dual LED flash, rear-mounted snapper. Moreover, there is a 2 megapixel camera on the front for those social media photos.

To synopsize, if you want a new smartphone with a big display, high-resolution display, exceptionally high pixel density screen, exceptionally high pixel density screen, Fast 4G mobile data support, NFC, is a Splash-proof phone and can live with no microSD slot for storage expansion, this is a wonderful buy.
