The Motorola Moto G doesn’t come with the same hardware specifications of its Big Brother Moto X smartphone but it still does offer a variety of features that are fun to use just like the other phones in the “Hello Moto” companies phone range. Taking a screenshot on the Moto G is one of them and it’s also a task that a great deal of people perform daily.

People are always using their smartphones for looking at pictures on the internet and sharing photos and videos from friends. The easiest way to share what’s on your screen with your family and friends is by taking a screenshot and sending it through a native messaging application. Alternatively, you can download and install other messaging options for the Moto G from the Google Play Store. One messaging app I’m really enjoying in 2015 is “Line” where you can make free calls, send free text and share all the pictures and video you want.

Using The Stock Feature

  1. Turn on the phone and have the picture you want displaying on the screen.
  2. Press the Power and volume down buttons at the same time.
  3. Release the buttons together after you see a quick flash. The flash is the phone capturing the photo.
  4. Navigate to the Picture. Screenshots where you’ll find the picture. It doesn’t automatically come to the Picture gallery. However, you can save the image to the pictures folder.

We notice the method Motorola are using as a stock feature is the same as the “Screenshot Easy application available from the Google Play Store. Speaking of Google Play: did you know that there are plenty of other apps you can use to take screenshots. Check out the full list from here.

Taking a screenshot on any mobile device is always coming under scrutiny because people like pressing different keys. What might be easier for you isn’t necessarily easiest for somebody else. That’s what makes the various apps from Google Play so great to use. Many of them have different methods and button sequences you can push to take the snap shot. Let’s take a look at another app you might prefer using that works on the Moto G and uses different keys from the phone.

Snapshot Snap Free

    – You must have any Android smartphone or tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or above.
