Spectral Souls is the first strategy role-playing game (RPG) to ever come out on Windows Phone 8, and it’s currently available to download.

While Windows Phones are becoming increasingly popular as time goes on, their mobile gaming platform still has a lot of room for growth, especially if you are into strategy role-playing games (or RPG games as they are often called.)

Luckily for role-playing game fans, using Windows Phone 8, that need has been met with a great new game called Spectral Souls by developer HyperDevbox.

For those of you who like a good free trial before you buy the real deal, unfortunately, there is no such luck this time around. It is the real deal, however, so if you are hanging out for some RPG loving and have the cash to splurge, then, by all means, give Spectral Souls a try.

If our word isn’t enough for you, Spectral Souls was originally a PlayStation 2 game, so you could always try to play it on that platform and see what you think of it. It’s also a good way to go about it because if you like the PS 2 version of Spectral Souls, you will probably like the Windows Phone 8 version. I say that because it is almost the same game being shoved onto the Windows Phone 8 platform, giving much of the same feel.

The negatives? Well, many gamers often decide what they will play to the end based on its controls and how it feels in hand. If you are one of these people, then you won’t be pleased to hear the controls haven’t received great reviews. That said, peoples tastes vary, and you might not have any problem.
