The Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9100 is a fantastic smartphone, with its 1.4 GHz Snapdragon processor and Android Gingerbread OS it won’t break the bank but will give you all the perks that come with owning an Android smartphone. And yes, this includes the ability to root it.

Please make sure you have more than 50% battery before you attempt to root the Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9100 to ensure it can complete the process.
Root Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9100
Step 1. First you will need to download the following rooting package:

Step 2. Once you have downloaded it, you will need to save it to somewhere easy to locate like your desktop.
Step 3. Using your smartphone’s USB cable, connect it to your PC.
Step 4. Leaving the rooting package in its original root folder, transfer it to the SD Card storage on your smartphone. Again, make sure it isn’t inside any other folders.
Step 5. Once this is done, disconnect your smartphone from the USB cable.
Step 6. You will need to turn your smartphone off.
Step 7. Your smartphone now needs to be booted into recovery mode. To do this, simply hold down the ‘Volume Up’ and ‘Power’ keys at the same time. Then when the icon appears (this will be a box) press the ‘Menu’ key immediately.
Step 8. A list of options will be presented to you. Select the ‘ apply update from sdcard’ one.
Step 9. Using your ‘Home’ key, select the root package file that was saved to the SD Card in step 4.
Step 10. Selecting the file will initiate the rooting process. This should only take a few moments.
Step 11. Once this has been completed, from the recovery menu select the ‘reboot system now’ option.
