This mobile was set out to be just that, a revolution to the LG smartphone range. Many were expecting a US version of the Optimus 2, however, it was not to be. Instead, the LG Revolution was the coming together of the LG and Verizon partnership. While it may have fallen short of this benchmark already pre-installed in the name, it does prove to be a solid Android Verizon 4G smartphone for the LG range. Running Android Gingerbread, it uses a fairly aging operating system. In saying that, it will go down as one of the all-time favorites for many Android users and to this day there is still nothing shameful about having it running on your device.
Prerequisites: You will need to first download the necessary updated drivers. If you don’t have these already you can obtain them from the LG Revo all in one root package to be found in step one. Inside the root package, you will be able to find VZW_United_WHQL_v2.3.1.exe file which is to be extracted. You will also need to have USB debugging mode enabled on the mobile. To enable USB Debugging mode go to Settings > Application > Development and check the box located next to the USB debugging mode option.
Please ensure you back up your device before you begin and proceed at your own risk. ConsumingTech will not take responsibility for any loss of data or damage which may occur to your device during the guide.
This guide is meant for the LG Revolution running Android Gingerbread.
