The Flytouch or otherwise known as the superPAD has come out again this year now making it the Flytouch 3. It hasn’t really been a device well covered for rooting, however, you will be pleased to know it can be rooted. Many will tell you to just use the Android universal root method for this, but I don’t advise you do that method because it has been said not to work for many people across forums.
Notes:
- As with all Flytouch devices, you will need to grab some apps first. The first app is an app such as App Installer that lets you install .apk files that you can’t naturally. The other app you will need is the Launcher Pro app. Both of these apps can be found in the official Google Play store.
- You will also need to have USB debugging mode enabled to complete this guide. You can follow the link that I provided and find out how to do that if you don’t know already.
- Before you begin rooting the Flytouch 3, you will need to make sure you have the USB drivers. You may have this already if you use the device regularly, in which case you can skip this step. This is necessary to connect the device to the computer, to upgrade the official firmware.
Root Flytouch 3 SuperPad
Step 1. Go ahead and download the Z4root file.
Z4root will not only be used to root your device, but to install Busybox and give access to level applications that request it.
Step 2. With the App installer you downloaded before starting the tutorial, use this to download the Z4root.
– Copy apk to SD card.
– Browse directory with App installer and find the Z4root.
– Install Z4root.
Step 4. From here select the option down the bottom called “settings”.
Step 5. Inside will be a big list with a black background. Use this as a guide so you know you are in the right screen. Scroll all the way down until you find “Development”. Select and press the Ok button to finalize it.
Step 6. Now you will have a new shortcut on your homepage. Select the new shortcut and select USB Debugging option. Turn this option on to enable USB debugging.
If successful you should notice the colour change to green. Once done, close it all up and proceed with the Z4Root. From here, you can choose two options on the Z4Root screen. Either temporary root or permanent root. If you choose temporary then obviously you will need to do this again once you turn the device off. If you want the root to be on your device all of the time, then select permanent root.
Step 7. The Z4Root tool will now root your device automatically. Don’t touch anything until it has finished. Once it is finished your Flytouch 3 device should reboot itself automatically. Upon reboot it will now be rooted.
Now that your device is rooted, you can instantly download rooted apps. Furthermore, you may be interested in checking our custom ROMs.
