Factory images are very useful to us generally folk that own the devices because they are the things that allow us to restore them back to original stock factory settings. This is wanted for many reasons and many different scenarios. It also pulls its weight for updating the slate.

Google has very kindly made this factory image for the Nexus 7 LTE version available for us to use.

Users won’t have to download it themselves or anything of that nature, instead it will do its thing and end up in your settings where you can then simply update the device as you normally would.

In terms of other features, there isn’t really much to mention apart from a few bug fixes and improvements.

This is the first tablet in the nexus range, and any other range for that matter, to be receiving this upgrade of Android 4.3.1.

It will be a fun Q4 this year for owners, as the new Android 4.4 is expected on its way soon. It will roll out originally with the brand new nexus 5. From there, you can expect it to do the rounds, possibly before Christmas to others like the Nexus 7.
