Phones4U is a shop found inside the UK that specializes in mobile phones and today they have started selling the Samsung Galaxy Black edition for 500 pounds.

The Galaxy S4 is an interesting phone to be buying now because we have already seen 1 Galaxy S5 launch in February, but there is also another higher-end S5 unveiling in June. Having this happen could make the S4 feel newer than it is because a brand new S5 will not be coming until another 6 months later compared to what we would expect as the ordinary yearly time frame.

The Galaxy S4 Black Edition is a trademark new Smartphone made by the South Korean electronics company that was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress earlier this year for the United Kingdom. It has black leather that’s very similar to the one found on the Galaxy Note 3. It is looking awesome, and it can be yours for under 500 pounds.

Phones4U is the only shop selling it s far, and you can buy the handset outright, or they also offer three different pricing plans up for grabs. All of them are for two year contracts that have varying amounts of data and minutes which change the end price. You can see the deals here.

If you decide to buy this phone it will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and not the Android 4.4 KitKat although we are sure it will eventually be upgradable in time. Samsung is making changes with their cameras and trying to make them a focal point on the newer flagship model and even with the S4 you will be getting here has a 13 megapixel auto focus camera. It only comes in a 16GB internal storage option and has the traditional MicrosSD card slot that all Sammy products love to have which makes backing up and things of that nature so much easier. In addition to this, a special Black edition will come with exclusive wallpapers and ringtones.

In our opinion, the price is expensive given that there is no change in the hardware and all you are getting is a different looking phone on the outside. We certainly see better deals pop up, but there is an element of collectors edition that will lure many people in and for that we cannot blame them. It is a UK phone only, and while you will be able to buy one online no matter where you are from sites like eBay, it will have limited numbers making it feel even more of a collector’s item.
