The Mountain View company out of the Googlplex is still null on when the release of the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 is going to be even though pungent rumors are suggesting it’s coming very soon. We will know for sure in the weeks lead up as an official press invitation will have to be released for the guests. The other indicator is when a new smartphone or tablet visits the FCC since there is always a gap in time between the visit for certification and the unveiling.

Nobody likes being involved in the guessing game when they are reading news, but the FCC visit does not give us a certain time. However, from our experience, we know that it can be as little as a couple of weeks through two over a month’s time. The Nexus 6 is the successor to the Nexus 5 and will be this years smartphone flagship that offers as much bang for buck as any other out there. The Nexus 9 will take over from a mixture of the Nexus 7 and 10 and remain a tablet with equal amount of upside with as low a price as any you will find with the same specs.

Nexus 9

We are still calling this tablet the Google Nexus 9. However, according to reports it is made by the HTC company. The FCC certification documents do belong to HTC and therefore that’s who it appears is making them. We know that there are two different storage options — 16 GB and 32 GB — and several code-names including Volantis, T1 and Flounder are in the wild.

That’s not all we know either. The model number for this tablet is 0P82100. The “new nine” is coming to a tube-shaped waterproof camera that is 16 megapixels on the rear. In addition to the first-class camera there is a NVIDIA Tegra K1 system chip, Dual core, 2500 MHz, Denver, 64-bit processor, Kepler GK20A graphics processor, 3072 MB RAM system memory and MicroSD, microSDHC, microSDXC storage expansion options of up to 128 GB.

Furthermore, the displays, sports a 8.9 inch physical size, 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, 330 ppi pixel density and the usual light sensor. Multimedia has the music player with loudspeaker, Playlists, Background playback, Album art cover and a YouTube player.
