In an attempt to try and get more advertisement friendly and search savvy, Google has opened up a new Google shopping search which is aimed at delivering a much more targeted experience.

Now when you type into the search bar, you should see results for the product — if applicable — that are available closer to where you are situated. Furthermore, if there are any ads that are currently running in relation to the field, they will also be more localized.

The point behind it is to try and deliver the results people want, instead of them having to do endless searching. It should also pay dividends for people expecting ads as helpful, rather an a nuisance.

When viewing from a mobile browser, these results will show up towards the top of the ranks, just below the first result. It may also be accompanied by the title “shops on Google”.

The results of this algorithm should have already started taking place.
