Most of Android users are hit by a battery drain issue on handsets running Android 5 Lollipop versions.

This problem reported on the Android Issue tracker website, most of Android 5 Lollipop users say the battery level drops once apps begin consuming mobile data and not Wi-Fi.

The Reports of comments and complaints from users regarding apps like Google now and Chrome eating an excessive amount of mobile data.

One of the Lollipop user said, “Also on My Nexus 5 with Lollipop 5.1 I actually have a similar issue. Radio mobile active only on 3G or LTE.”

One of the other users reported , “Massive battery drain by mobile data, 8 hours of phone idle, total complete idle, not even screen on for a second and it drains 63% of battery, 3G was on. It appears downside disappears once Wi-Fi is turned on.”

It’s price noting that this can be not the first time android users have reported about battery drain issue because the downside has been around for a few time currently. But still Google is trying to fix the issue and will update fix patch soon.

After Android Lollipop, the Android M brings new options to the table, mostly regarding refinements. A number of the options like revamped app permissions, Google currently on tap, Android Pay mobile payment system, new fingerprint API’s for developers to feature into their apps and a new battery saver feature called Doze.
