Unrooting an Android device fixes most of the software related issues that a user may be facing on their device. These issues include: not being able to launch apps, apps crash too often, and so on. Since unrooting gets your device back to the stock firmware, it removes your current firmware and everything that it contains.
If you wish to unroot your Samsung Galaxy A7, here’s how you can do that:
Files You Need
1. Download and install Samsung USB Drivers before you begin with the tutorial. These drivers will help your computer to recognize your device.
2. Download Odin to your computer. It’s a famous flashing tool for Samsung phones.
3. Download the stock ROM for your Samsung Galaxy A7. Below is a list of ROMs for the Galaxy A7, pick the one that is for your model number.
Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy A7
1. Right-click on both Stock ROM and Odin and select Extract here. Wait for the files to be extracted from the archives.
2. Double-click on Odin and let it launch on your computer.
3. When Odin launches, hit the button that says PDA and select the stock ROM to be flashed on your phone.
4. Repartition must be unchecked in the Odin as it can lead to some major issues on your device.
5. Checkmark both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
6. Turn off your phone.
7. Hold down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons at the same time to reboot your phone into download mode.
8. Press Volume UP and you are in download mode.
9. Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable.
10. Click Start in the Odin and wait for it to flash the stock ROM on your phone.
11. Once the ROM is flashed, your phone will automatically restart.
12. You are done.
Your Samsung Galaxy A7 should now reboot into the pure version of Android. Your device is no longer rooted.
