Motorola launched its Droid turbo last year. This phone has the best hardware compared to the Nexus 6 except the screen size. It has only 5.2 inches of Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor powered with a 3900 mAh battery. Now this phone is available worldwide including India also.
The point is, this is an Android device so it has to be rooted before customizing or installing any custom ROM and as you all know rooting Moto devices is always a hard nut to crack but it is now even harder for Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo customers as they still didn’t got any way to root their Droid Turbo.
Now there is one way. The disekt CFT Team made this thing possible to root Verizon Droid Turbo. It have some drawbacks also. You still want to root Yours? Fine: go to MOFOROOT and follow instructions from there. What you need is a Windows-based PC, MOFOVERIFY software from the official site and $20, first you need to verify your phone using this MOFOVERIFY software and then follow the link from the software to pay $20 and download the pre-rooted image for your phone.
I know you have some questions in your mind like how they done this? And what are the drawbacks? Here it is, they made a pre rooted Android 4.4 KitKat firmware image and you have to flash it to your phone. That’s it! Now you have rooted Android 4.4 KitKat on your Droid Turbo. The drawbacks are much big (in my opinion), after this root process some of the powerful root apps will malfunction on your phone because the boot loader on your phone will remain locked and also you can’t update your phone to Lollipop which is going to release for your phone.
If you are a patient man then you can wait for the pre rooted Android 5.0 Lollipop factory image or wait till any developer finds a full boot loader unlock process to root your Droid Turbo.
