Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is the latest and most expensive phone in the market now. This phone has the fastest Exynos processor. If you already have one of them and want to root it for some reason then you are at the right place today I’ll tell you to root your phone with a very simple method.
You should know that rooting your phone is not recommended by Samsung or Google as it is an illegal and risky process. You can break your phone if not done properly.
Today we are going to root your phone using Odin software provided by Samsung itself to service Samsung smart phones only. This software is basically used for flashing official and stock firmware but we are going to use it for flashing the CF Auto Root package on your phone.
Backing up data of your phone’s data is a good thing to do before performing illegal processes like this on your phone. Always backup your phone’s media files and important document files to your PC or any other external drive.
Make sure your phone should have at least 50% battery left with USB debugging enabled on it. Rooting your phone is not recommended by Samsung or Google cause it is a very risky process. If anything wrong happens to your phone.
Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
- Download and install Samsung Kies on your PC from here so USB drivers for your phone will get installed automatically, or you can simply download and install the USB drivers with out Kies. You can also download Odin direct from here.
- Download and extract the CF Auto Root package file from here on your PC’s desktop.
- Now reboot your phone to download mode by turning it off completely and power it back on by pressing and holding Power key, volume down button and home key together. when you see a warning screen just press the volume up key once.
- On PC launch Odin software from the extracted folder.
- Now connect your phone to PC using USB cable, better if is original.
- Now check for the message “ADDED!” on Odin in the log window.
- On Odin, click on “PDA” then select the CF Auto Root file from the extracted folder.
- Finally click on Start, this will start flashing the root file on your phone and after a while you will see a PASS! message on Odin, that means your phone is rooted successfully.
