Are you looking to get more out of the audio on your Samsung Galaxy A3 smartphone? If so, you can install the Viper4Android app from the Google Play Store and have far more advanced audio on your Galaxy device than ever before.

Files You Need

  1. You must unlock the Samsung Galaxy A3 bootloader before following this guide.
  2. Download the A3 CF-Root package from this page.
  3. Download the ADB Driver from this page for your computer.
  4. Down load the latest Odin 3.10 flash tool version from this page.
  5. These are the steps to root Samsung Galaxy A3 devices with the SM-A3000 model number running Android 4.4.4 KitKat. We advise you downgrade to Android 4.4.4 KitKat if you are running a later version of Android such as 5.1 Lollipop or 6.0 Marshmallow. We cannot be sure when Google decide to patch this exploit in future software updates.
  6. You can only use this guide on a Windows operating systems ranging from Windows XP and up.

Rooting the Samsung Galaxy A3 SM-A3000

  1. Extract the A3 CF-Root and the Odin flashing tool on the desktop.
  2. Double-click the Executable Odin file and the flashing tool user-interface will open on your PC.
  3. Make sure your A3 device has the USB Debugging Mode enabled by navigating to the Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging Mode.
  4. Turn off the A3 device and reboot it in the download mode — Volume Down + Home + Power buttons.
  5. Connect it to the computer after reading the display and pressing the Volume Up button.
  6. Check the ID: COM port from the Odin user-interface is lighting up with a color. No color means your drivers are not yet working and you need to fix that. Any other problem you have should be solved by downloading a different version of Odin and trying again.
  7. Click the AP or PDA button, depending on your Odin user-interface button.
  8. Browse the desktop of your computer for the A3 CF-Root file.
  9. Once you have uploaded the file in Odin, click the Start button without adjusting any of Odin’s default settings.
  10. Wait up to 15 minutes for a pass message and the device should then reboot automatically.
