Rooting the LG Optimus F3Q smartphone is still the most popular thing you can do with your Android operating system. You probably already know that LG lock the operating system up after they ship it out of the factory, and that to unlock it you must unlock that root file system — that’s what we know as rooting Android.

Once the root guide is complete, you can install apps like the Delete Video Restore Mobile application. As the name suggests, you can restore your deleted videos for all those times you have decided to delete a video from your Android and then wish you hadn’t. You could also be more sinister than that and try uploading other people’s deleted videos if you have some trust issues — we don’t recommend going there, though.

Files You Need

  1. Download the SafeRoot rooting package from this page.
  2. You can download it from this source if the first link is down.
  3. The following guide to root the F3Q does void the warranty. You can get the warranty working again after you unroot the device. This one-click rooting method doesn’t offer an unrooting option directly from the tool, so you’ll need to unroot by flashing a stock ROM or removing the rooting files manually.

Rooting the LG Optimus F3Q

  1. Download the SafeRoot exploit to the Windows computer and transfer the file over to the desktop.
  2. Extract that SafeRoot file now by right-clicking the mouse over the file and selecting the “extract here” option.
  3. Make sure the USB Debugging Mode is enabled on your LG Optimus F3Q device by pointing to the Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging Mode.
  4. Connect the F3Q to the computer using the USB cable you would normally use for charging.
  5. Accept any prompts you might get regarding your device on the computer.
  6. Double-click on install.bat file you can find from inside the extracted folder.
  7. That file is the file that will root your device. Wait until it’s complete before finally rebooting manually and you’re done.

That’s all.

You can now visit the Google Play Store and start installing applications like the Delete Video Restore Mobile app we talked about in the introduction. Alternatively, you might want to start by installing the root checker app just to make sure it did work.
