If you already know all about the Flashify application and would like to know of another root application that can help make your life more efficient with the dubious tasks at hand, we recommend checking out the Quick Boot app. The Quick Boot application comes to you as a normal download from the Google Play Store. As the name leads us to believe, the Quick Boot app can help you boot into various modes that you might use with a rooted Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone. The modes we are talking about include the fastboot mode, bootloader mode, download mode, recovery mode and any other mode you might want to use. The recovery mode and download modes are usually the two main modes to use with root access to that Samsung Galaxy A7’s internal system. Just open the Quick Boot application when you want to use one and tap your finger over the button for the said mode.

All you need to do to get the Quick Boot application up and running on your Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone on any model number is to complete the guide below and then head over to the Google Play Store and check it out.

Files You Need

  • Download the Galaxy A7 SM-A700K’s CF-Auto-Root file for Android 5.0.2.
  • It does not matter what firmware build number your Samsung Galaxy A7 is running when you use this guide. All that matters is you are running Android 5.0.2.
  • You must use the file in this guide on the SM-A700K variant of the A7 smartphone only or else you will brick the device. Check your A7’s model number by scrolling to the Settings > About Device > Model Number.
  • Your Galaxy A7 should be running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Check your A7’s version of Android by scrolling to the Settings > About Device > Android Version.

Rooting the Samsung Galaxy A7 SM-A700K running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop updates

  1. Enable the USB Debugging Mode on the Samsung Galaxy A7 device so it can connect with the computer and the Odin flashing tool.
  2. Extract the rooting file to the desktop of the computer for the Galaxy A7 and it will release 2 new files on the desktop for you to use.
  3. Right-click the mouse on top of the Odin executable file that you can see on the desktop.
  4. Choose the option that says for you to run the Odin flashing tool as an administrator.
  5. Once the Odin flashing tool is open on the computer, do not make any changes from the default settings you get after you first open the application.
  6. Boot the Samsung Galaxy A7 SM-A700K smartphone in download mode and connect to the computer with the USB cable.
  7. Check that the ID: COM port is lit up either blue or yellow from the Odin application on the computer. if you see no color and your device is not detected, you should install the universal ADB driver on the computer and try again.
  8. Click the AP button from the Odin application and upload the rooting file from the desktop so you can see the file extension from Odin.
  9. Click the Start button when you are ready to start the A7’s rooting process.
  10. Wait for a few minutes and then be on the look out for the pass message from the Odin application and the box turning a green color.
  11. Now focus your attention on the Samsung Galaxy A7’s display and look for the text saying that it is restoring the stock recovery, cleaning up and the going to reboot in 10 seconds. This means that it will now reboot to recovery mode where it will finish the rooting process.

In conclusion, that’s how to root the Samsung Galaxy A7 SM-A700K smartphone running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop software updates. If you happen to own a Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone that did not make it to the recovery mode, you can boot to recovery mode using the hardware buttons manually instead. You want to do that directly after the flashing. You should see that is not necessary, however, and the Galaxy A7 will automatically get in the recovery mode due to Chainfire programming the rooting file that way.
