Sometimes people need to hard reset their Android smartphones. If you want to wipe all data at once and reset a device to its factory settings, you can do that with a hard reset. Additionally, Android users who install custom firmware often need to hard reset before flashing new ROMs. This guide is suitable for those who run stock and custom firmware.

This tutorial demonstrates how to hard reset the Samsung SM-A515U1 smartphone.

Caution:
Hard resetting wipes all data, meaning you need to create a backup before hard resetting or else you cannot restore the data again.
