Anyone who has spent a good deal of time buzzing around the Google Play Store would know there are plenty of great applications to use. If you are a veteran browser of the Google Play Store, you might have come across some application which says something like “root required to run” and wondered what is that all about? Anything that requires root is referring to have an Android device that has access to the root file system — a file system that many of the best apps need running. It’s the rooting permissions that allow for greater control over the user rights, and any apps that are doing something serious will likely need those permissions to run. That’s why apps such as the Titanium Backup app are so useful. However, without root access, there is nothing you can do for backing up that comes close.

Once you install the KingRoot application — a new one-click rooting tool that is available to run on many devices running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread — you can start installing every app that says “root required” in the description when browsing the Google Play Store.

Download KingRoot Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread

1. Enable the Unknown Sources option for your device that is running Android 2.3.3 by pointing to the Menu > Settings > Security > Device Administration > Unknown Sources.

2. Download the KingRoot APK and install it directly from your web browser. Alternatively, you can download it to the computer and put it on the SD card. You will need a File Manager for the latter way.

3. Once you have installed the APK, navigate to the app drawer on your device and tap the new KingRoot icon you can see.

4. Tap on the Start Root button from the main page. The exact wording the KingRoot application gives can change depending on your version. You will easily identify the button you need to tap on the front page.

5. The KingRoot tool will now try rooting your device; wait until the progress bar reaches 100%.

6. Close the app once you see the success message and then root your device before attempting to install any apps.

KingRoot is a one-clicking rooting app that also comes complete with an easy way to get rid of the KingUser. Once done, your device will be unrooted and the way it was before starting the guide above. It’s just one of the many reasons the KingRoot tool is so great.
