Some of the largest tech blogs in the world are savvy enough to find a link floating from one of AT&T’s navigation pages from the LG G3 page. According to our sources, there is no official page for the Nexus 6 but a widget displaying other related goods was flashing the new flagship under the Google name with the price tag of $49.99. Today marks the first day of the official press release and unveiling so it’s perfectly natural to not have details yet. However, all too often we see phone carrier networks slip up and post things online about products there were not meant too. Often it results in an employee losing their job, but at this point it’s covered by many other news publishers anyway, so there’s nothing we can do to help.
Arguably the most flashy feature on the Nexus 6 is the Snapdragon 805 Soc that is producing as much power as any other modern-day handset on the market under the Android label. Normally with mid-rangers we see a lesser system chip such as the Snapdragon 801 or even 800 on some occasions. Comparatively, the newly released second-generation Moto X comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC for the hardware’s internals. However, the downside is that this phone still lacks any Micro SD external storage slot for storage expansion. That means if you do not manage to fit all of your data in the 64 GB of available space you are stuck.
The Nexus 6 is arriving next to the Nexus 9 in early November around the globe so we predict this carrier to start selling them then as they are one of the largest networks in the United States. Pre-orders are available starting from October 29. Additionally the AT&T network is competing with Sprint, Verizon, US cellular and potentially more for subscribers.
If you are looking at buying this new smartphone you should look up what the signal strength is like for your area of choice. That way you can work out what subscriber is better suited to your needs. We know that the Big Red offer great service around new York, however US cellular is ‘iffy’ depending on the area. Conversely, if you were to reside closer to Boston, New Hampshire or Maine, all a sudden US cellular has great coverage. It’s subjective depending on location and they do provide maps for this.
Need I remind you that Android 5.0 Lollipop is kicking off on the next-gen devices and starts rolling out in roughly two weeks time. That means the 2014 Nexus range is offering some complete all-round Android experiences for only a fraction of the price.
