The HTC One X sets the benchmark in what is a great, yet revised, set of smartphones in theHTC range. I say revised because Chinese owned company have broken down their number of overall smartphones in trying to spend more time perfecting a smaller number of mobiles, instead of keeping the old wide-spread range. One of the great things to come from this is the all-in-one root toolkit that has now become available for HTC mobiles. Right now, the One click root has become available for the HTC One X giving it to the all-in-one root toolkit mock-up.

HTC One X

The developer for this is Thunder7 who comes from the popular XDA Devs teams. The new  method known as the toolkit is for Windows operating systems. The great new method will give users the chance to flash RUU’s , reboot to bootloader, flash kernels and the recoveries and even more.

There is a list of prerequisites that the developer has made public that you will need to get the job done for the process. These include;

  • unlocking your HTC One X  bootloader. To do this you must visit HTCdev.com/bootloader
  • Choose all other supported models
  • enable USB debugging mode. To do this go to Settings > Developers Tools,
  • Choose ClockworkMod Recovery
  • Enable Microsoft.NET and Framework 3.5

Once you’ve done these things you are now good to go. All you have to do now is connect your HTC One X device to your Windows computer and make a selection as to what it is you want to do.

Thunder 7 has also included other goodies in the official XDA Devs thread which you can find from this link. Download One X One Click (XDA Developers Thread)

The all in one root toolkit is great to have for all who plan to root because you don’t need to know everything before hand, or be an expert. It just makes things a great deal easier. Just some quick advice, as always make a NANDroid Backup first just to be safe.
