If you are the owners of the Sony Xperia T3 smartphone it’s time to keep your eyes peeled for the first Android 4.4.4 KitKat software update arriving over the air to your notifications panel. The build number coming for the update is 18.1.A.2.25 for selected LTE variants thus far. It’s continuing to spread through various regions and likely is still expanding to other countries.
We typically know Android 4.4.4 for coming with a revamped phone dialer and a Google security patch for the OpenSSL bug found in the earlier 4.4.3 KitKat. However, we know Sony love updating their native bloatware on top of the stock Android changes that arrive. That means users will likely find several more tweaks to the operating system, including bug fixes and performance improvements. If you are suffering from any bugs in the current build, it’s time you accepted the update when you see it.
As usual, all OTA updates arrive at different stages for owners. That means you can’t predict the time it’s coming for you. It does eventually find everyone with the devices it’s rolling out for. In this case that includes the model number D5103, D5106 and the HSPA+ D5102 phone.

Those erring on the side of caution should backup the data before clicking the “download,” followed by “install now” option from the display. Furthermore, you can skip the waiting line and download the official FTF here.
Since most of the features were patched in the earlier Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update such as white status bar icons, white notification bar, immersive mode, wireless printing, new emoji faces, full screen album art from the lock screen and a new location menu, we know the late stages of KitKat don’t come with as many features.
